GACspaceguyGiGi has arrived...

Robert PearlmanFrom Build-A-Bear (via X):
It's time for another out-of-this-world adventure for GiGi! You probably remember this familiar face as the Zero-Gravity indicator for Axiom Space's Ax-2 mission back in May.

Gigi has been hard at work in Axiom Space’s Houston facility preparing for a new journey to the place she loves most — space! Stay tuned for more news on GiGi's upcoming travels!

GiGi, Axiom's spacesuit-clad Build-A-Bear zero-gravity indicator, returning to orbit on Ax-3

As it turns out, when you build a bear to fly into space, one mission is not enough.

"GiGi," the Build-A-Bear doll outfitted in a miniature version of Axiom Space's next generation lunar spacesuit, will be returning to Earth orbit on Ax-3, Axiom's third crewed mission to the International Space Station set to launch this month. The doll — and the partnership that led to its creation — first debuted on Ax-2 in 2023.

Robert PearlmanGiGi made her Ax-3 debut during the crew's first on-orbit update soon after their launch. As commander Michael Lopez-Alegria said:
She was misbehaving because she was tethered, but hopefully you can see GiGi. GiGi represents a collaboration between Axiom Space and Build-A-Bear. And she is the fifth crew member. When we got to space, sure enough, it turns out she floats, which is proof that we are actually in microgravity, if anybody had any doubt.
